Jersey Style

Living in Australia and being completely obsessed with Jersey style is not a good combination, especially if you live in a boring conservative city like myself. Jersey style is all about animal print, over the top makeup, long nails and BIG hair!!!
I first fell in LOVE with this style after discovering the stylenetwork channel's show Jerseylicious. Their nails, their hair, ah I love it all!
This photo doesn't really show their style too much, but if you've watched the show then you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't seen the show but love animal print, then you must check it out! My favourite character style wise is Olivia. She pulls off the craziest outfits, nails and makeup. So jealous!! Haha.
I LOVE these nails! I found them on her facebook (haha, I know I sound like a crazy internet stalker but I promise I'm not!). I don't think any of the nail places where I live would be able to do nails like this :( but they're probably a little bit over the top for my lifestyle anyway.
Like I said before, for my life style and for the city I live in, Jersey style doesn't exactly fit in. So I have incorporated some aspects of the style into my style.

I'm a uni student so I can get away with animal print in my everyday outfit (thankfully!!).
I found these leggings on the Bardot website and fell in love!! I pair them with a plan black top and black ankle boots like shown on the website www.bardot.com.au .
I got this skirt at Myers at the end of last year. On me its tight and high waisted (and not as short as it looks like it would be here) and I tend to pair it with a black top and grey to the knee boots.
By now you can probably tell that I mainly keep the animal print to the bottom half, not sure why that is. This skirt is by Religion, I got it at their store in Bali. Tiger print is something you don't come across very often so I decided it was a must!
I love my phone case! I found it on ebay and it only cost around $4!! (And yes I do know that my thumbs are a funny shape haha).

Another big part of the Jersey style is big jewellery and lots of it!! I don't tend to wear a lot of jewellery, I have my few staple pieces that wear everyday but they are very understated. However, I found this two-finger ring at Forever New and thought I'd get some wear out of it.

So there you have it, my take on Jersey Style. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!!
